Welcome to our birthday edition! Today, we are 10!
Since Adaptiv formed in May 12, 2010, we’ve completed nearly 76,000 project hours with 46 amazing clients. Our largest single project to date was just over 7,600 hours, and we’ve invested in 12,000 hours of internal training to make sure we keep on top of new technologies.
So we figure Adaptiv have some serious celebrating to do!
While we’d love to invite you to party with us, we’re offering you a rain check instead! Hopefully, in a few months we can gather in person, over a few drinks and some good food, and collectively breathe a sigh of relief as we return to the new business-as-usual. Until then, happy 10th birthday to us!
We’re still standing!
Like every other company lucky enough to be able to work remotely, we’ve been working from home to keep ourselves, our families, and New Zealand safe. We hope you’ve been able to retain some semblance of normality as well.
This quarter, we’ve got a quick round-up of content we think you might enjoy, and we take pleasure in profiling a senior staff member. Like most technology businesses, we are always looking for great people to add to our team, so shout out if there’s anyone you’d like to recommend or point them to our careers page.

Adaptiv: New or familiar faces
Many of you will have met Simon Clendon, one of our highly regarded principal consultants.
Simon’s long association with Adaptiv Integration and ICM (Adaptiv’s partner company) puts him in the ideal position to oversee integration strategy and deliver to the high standards that are our business’ hallmark. Simon has worked with some of New Zealand’s largest and most well-known companies across wide variety of industries, and more recently, in central government. The last decade of senior integration experience has seen him develop productive relationships with small specialist trading houses to large Fortune 500 companies. It’s his job to liaise with clients and vendors across time zones and locations, co-ordinating integration development and ensuring deadlines and budgets are met. Simon is a certified Microsoft Technology Specialist in BizTalk. And he’s equally at home on projects with industry-standard messaging formats (e.g. FpML and SWIFT), as with bespoke client and vendor formats. When he’s not at work, Simon regularly competes in ultra-marathons.
