Unison Group is a leading provider of electricity and fibre solutions, consisting of specialist companies that deliver world-class services. Unison operates a critical infrastructure network, serving both residential and commercial customers. To ensure continued high-quality service delivery, Unison sought to optimise its data integration processes and improve fleet management operations.

The Challenge

Unison faced challenges with real-time messaging and the accurate feeding of data across its systems. This inefficiency was driving up the long-term costs associated with maintaining and supporting its vehicle fleet. Furthermore, Unison lacked centralised management for its integrations, limiting business visibility and reducing support capabilities. Unison needed a solution that would streamline its integration processes, reduce costs, and improve the reliability of its data feeds.

The Solution

Adaptiv conducted an in-depth analysis of Unison’s integration needs and recommended a hybrid approach using BizTalk and Solace. This combination of platforms was chosen to align with Unison’s current digital strategy and address the need for efficient real-time data integration. Adaptiv’s architects first used BizTalk to build the foundational integration framework, and later employed Solace to ensure seamless communication between Unison’s various systems and services.

The integrated solution allowed Unison’s services to work in harmony by linking applications and devices in real-time. This not only improved the accuracy of data feeds but also enabled better management of Unison’s vehicle fleet through the new fleet management platform.
