Mitch Abel

As a Developer for Adaptiv, Mitch's job involves developing solutions for multiple clients, primarily in the Dell Boomi and Microsoft Azure technology stacks. He also contributed to design and architecture work, and provide escalation support for the support team. Mitch has a diverse background in the painting and plastering industry. In 2016, he started his own IT business providing custom PC builds and repairs, general IT support and small-scale networking services. He joined Adaptiv in 2020 after graduating from University of Otago with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. A project that he is most proud of during his time at Adaptiv is Fulton Hogan Stevenson Flow Migration. This involved the migration of Fulton Hogan interfaces from Flow to Dell Boomi. Initially contributing as a low-level developer but quickly gained autonomy on the project and even ended up designing some of the more complex integrations in the project himself. This gained Adaptiv a good rapport with the Fulton Hogan team. His specialties include development, small scale architecture, cloud computing solutions, systems administration, technical support, API design and maintenance as well as Microsoft Azure, Dell Boomi, MuleSoft. In his spare time, Mitch enjoys snowboarding, video games, hiking and camping.
